WHAT'S HAPPENED?
Willow & Wolf has called Marlborough home since 2018.
Last year, we gave our shopfront a little more Willow & Wolf personality with the addition of our now rather recognisable pink and burgundy stripes.
As our shop sits within a Grade II listed building, listed building consent was required. A retrospective application was submitted, but after a lengthy planning process, permission for the striped frontage has been refused.
As things currently stand, that means the stripes have to go.
A WORD FROM ISY
With high streets everywhere under enormous pressure, independent businesses like Willow & Wolf bring character and life to our towns and give people reasons to visit. The stripes have brought real joy to the High Street and, we believe, helped put Marlborough on the map.
We’ve been overwhelmed by the support from people across Marlborough and far beyond, so we are deeply disappointed by a decision that feels at odds with the strength of local feeling.
